Beware the Lovely Lady

Maria Louisa Militano, known to her friends as ML, has a Harvard MBA and is married to a retired army colonel who has started a military supply corporation. Brad has told her that something is wrong with the company books, but his investigations have turned up nothing. Before Brad mysteriously dies, he charges ML with the job of saving the business. ML now finds herself a widow and the head of a multi-million dollar corporate empire.

After the initial shock of Brad's death, she puts together an unlikely group of investigators, most of whom are her friends and loyal corporate associates. To all outward appearances, the group seems dysfunctional. On the contrary, the team works like a well-oiled machine.
